Use of Open‑tray Impression for Implants

• Apply transparent silicone (recommended) or putty evenly onto the transparent tray.
• Inject light‑bodied silicone evenly around intra‑oral implant sites.
• Insert the transparent tray into mouth and position slowly. When implant transfer abutment pushes against the tray’s transparent membrane, puncture the membrane with sharp instrument e.g. probe. Once transfer abutment passes through, seat tray firmly and allow 3‑minute setting time.
• After full silicone polymerization, release transfer abutment with special tool and remove tray from oral cavity.
• Keep transfer abutment connected to implant analog, apply silicone coating onto preparation margin. Plaster model can be poured after 1 hour.
